BIO
H. Rayne (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and raised in Sydney, Australia. They began creating stop-motion animations at 16, and by 17 their work had been exhibited in galleries and film festivals internationally.
By age 21 their distinctive stop-motion work had been commissioned by recognisable names including the Reserve Bank of Australia, Struthless, and Step One funding their independent artistic practice. With studies in film and graphic design, for over 10 years Rayne’s professional practice expanded into content creation and marketing, using their professional skills to orchestrate and curate multiple independently run art exhibitions, drawing hundreds of daily visitors and reaching tens of thousands online.
Today, after years of refining their artistic voice—grounded in honest expression and raw emotion—Rayne’s multidisciplinary work is unified by a distinctive exploration of texture and depth. Their practice seeks to translate the subconscious, visually articulating the interplay between internal experience and external form.
